"The Gamekeeper's Way"
Following on from the success of "The Whole Season " this time we follow a fellow gamekeeper "Geoff Garrod". Geoff is a keen pigeon shooter and regional Chairman for the Essex branch of the National Gamekeepers Association.The video is filmed over 5 days shooting throughout the year on Rape crops at various stages.Although not intended as an instructional video there are plenty of useful tips and information. Geoff prefers to use traditional methods i.e. good hide building, studying the flight lines, correct use and setting up of decoy patterns.Geoff does not use pigeon magnets but still achieves excellent bags on this difficult crop.
There is plenty of action on the five shooting days with some great footage of the shooting. As well as the shooting itself other topics covered are: Dressing the pigeons ,the game dealers and Geoff even cooks a delicious pigeon meal. |
